Crystal lived way out in the country. Her dad taught her how to drive safely, so he thought!
She was sixteen, sitting proudly behind the wheel of her cute little red Tercel. Her dad told her to drive slow at night because of the deer and what-not. He forgot to mention cows were what-nots!
Late one night Crystal was making time on lonely Berlin Road when she topped out on a rise. Smack! What in the world? The car air bag blew!
Blame it on the stress of school, living 10 miles out in the boonies, being 16, surely there were other factors involved …
Her dad said she was doing at least 70, but Crystal was in denial. Besides, she smugly declared, the cow was black, like a shadow!
Her car was toast.
