Soon after the inside toilet had been installed An event happened. Little Phiddy was combing dad’s hair as he relaxed in his easy chair. Someone noted that she was using water but she was too short to reach the water facet. The question arose as to where Phiddy was getting the water. The older siblings followed her and watched as she dipped the comb into the toilet to get the comb wet. As Phiddy returned to dad the siblings told dad that Phiddy got the water from the toilet. He launched out of the chair and the combing session ended.
One summer day the toilet got plugged up. Dad took to plunging to no avail. In an act of desperation he removed the toilet bowl and set it out on the lawn. He took a hose and rinsed it out. He then started working at getting the blockage removed. The little kids went inside as dad’s blood pressure went up. Dad tended to get hot at times such as this. After struggling for some time out popped a little green apple. The culprit was determined to be little Davy. How could dad spank a little kid that knew no better. Dad took a trip into town to cool off.
