‘Chow’ Bolts

Girls and Chow
Chow is consoled

Rekekah’s dad had warned her about taking her dog, Chow, on vacation.  He claimed the dog was unpredictable, but Rebekah guaranteed to totally watch out for him.

Things happen though.

That night, near Three Island Crossing, her dad insisted they could all sleep in the van, no need for the tent;  however, later that night, after an entire day of getting stressed out and driving in a car with Chow all over the place in spite of Rebekah’s stern scoldings,  Dad decided to get a little peace from the dog and opted out for the tent.  It had to be set up in the dark and Martyr Mom did the job!

With the dog still going crazy, Rebekah convinced her dad that Chow would calm down if he was out of the car and there would be plenty of room in the tent for Chow, too, after all!

Four hours later:  Rebekah claimed Chow was innocent and that it must have been the bugs that drove the dog crazy.  At about 3a.m. Chow bolted right through her dad’s brand new $50.00 tent! Her dad could be seen through the gaping hole!

Rebekah’s dad was furious but made no attempt to win any argument about Rebekah’s dog! The dog was with us for the rest of the vacation.  The tent was toast!
